HEALING FOR THE NATIONS

HEALING FOR THE NATIONS

HEALING FOR THE NATIONS

LATE DR.YELE BADEMOSI was a medicaldoctor. When the hospital started in 1990, it was simply called Zoe Hospital. By the time Lillian began the ministry with the support and encouragement of Yele, they began to see that even the hospital was meant to be an integral part of the work. At this point, he added missions to the name and it became Zoe Mission Hospital. When they began to have specialist clinics, they now added that to the name to become Zoe Specialist Mission Hospital in Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State,
Nigeria.

YELE AND THE HEADSHIP OF THE MEDICAL MISSIONS

Yele went to be with the Lord in 2010. While he was sick, Lillian had begun to help to run the hospital administratively. At his transition to glory, some people thought she should close the hospital. They felt her husband would not want to put any extra burden on her. Since he was no longer around to help with the masculine things he was assisting with in
the schools as the Chairman, on account of his exit, adding the burden of running an entire hospital would be too much on her. Other friends of Yele
opined that even from the family angle, how would she cope with the care of the six children both of them were taking care of together that has now
become her sole responsibility?.
However, Lillian felt within her that God did not want her to close the hospital. She could not shake off the strong feeling that she should not let go of the hospital. She was helped in this resolve by the understanding she now has that the hospital was also a part of the mission to the unreached. Then again she asked herself “If I were the one that God called Home to rest, would my husband close the school?” The answer came clearly to her that he would not. She reasoned within herself: “Let me go ahead to run it as best as I can. If I now find it impossible to do, at least I will know that I have tried” Thus she went ahead to seek the face of the Lord on how to go about so herculean a task. And the Lord indeed came to her aid. Today Zoe has become a huge success story to the glory of God alone.
Zoe Specialist Mission Hospital has gained grounds beyond the imagination of everyone including even Lillian herself. Her husband was the Head of the Medical Team right from the onset when the Lord opened their eyes to the vital role of health in missions. They knew you have to be alive and well to hear the gospel. As the evangelism, soul winning, discipleship were going on, the medical team was also busy at what they were best at: diagnosing, treating, dressing wounds, giving out drugs and running tests that were possible right there on the mission field. Long before any outreach,

Yele would mobilize his doctor friends, nurses and other paramedics preparatory to their going. He would buy all the drugs that they would use. He would get all the mobile medical kit and equipment ready. This he did all through his life. At his Home going, the same thing continued unstopped not even when the Wells Team went to the Gambia. As the team was preparing tracts, Bibles, copies of Daisy, a book that chronicles the life and family of Lillian and other materials, the medical wing was assembling drugs and other medical facilities for the Gambia.
Thirty Amazing Years of Fishing, Feeding and Watering Souls!!! Thirty Amazing Years of Fishing, Feeding and Watering Souls!!! For all of these reasons and the grace and mercy of God, all of their
outreaches have always witnessed tremendous results in every place they went and every life they encountered. It became a truly holistic ministry. The truly holistic character of the work became even more realistic to me one day when I was at the hospital for treatment. A child who could not have been more than ten years old was brought in sick from their school (Christ Ambassadors International College) hostel. He had on the hostel
wear. He watched without saying a word but it registered deep within him. There is a rhythm, a harmonious blend to all the activities and arms of this vision, each helping the other to grow, expand and fulfill purpose.
DR TEMIDAYO OLUYELE BADEMOSI DIALYSIS CENTRE
Yele had planned to open a Dialysis Centre because of what he went
through in ill health. Lillian saw it as a major project to help in fulfilling this wish. The year 2011 was used by Lillian to open the Centre and till today to the glory of God the Dr Temidayo Oluyele Dialysis Centre is still standing right inside the Zoe Specialist Mission Hospital. In the operation of the centre, according to the wish of Lillian for affordable treatment of patients with renal failure, the charges were subsidized by Dr Temidayo Oluyele Foundation. What people pay outside for dialysis is not what they pay in Zoe Specialist Hospital. Once management is able to buy the materials needed for the dialysis, the rest is left to God for the sake of the indigent patients. Kidney failure is a life threatening disease requiring kidney transplant or dialysis. Both are very crucial but expensive yet the Lord has enabled the centre to provide dialysis to so many patients. In the last two years, despite the economic down turn that has made the cost of medical equipment to skyrocket, the centre has been offering every help without charging for the cost of maintaining the machines but the bare cost of the consumables and the staff salaries. This again has been a very fruitful, very productive arm of the work.

SHE NEVER SAW THE OCEAN ……………..
Through the thickets they plodded, through the bushes of Oke-Ogbo, Odo Aba, Akanran, Ologometa, Ikire, Ogbomoso, Kogi, Maiduguri they trod not minding the thorns searing their legs, knowing it was a suffering less than their Saviour’s on the Cross Through the dirt and scum of some Ibadan ghettos they trod, not looking at the mud that clung to their legs, knowing it was less than the spit smeared on Jesus’ face by the mocking crowd They rose like the eagle with their pitchers of water through the skies of Gambia, Malawi, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia shedding tears of pains as they bear the sheaves of precious harvest of souls to the Master and Lord of the Vineyard, knowing that one day their tears will turn to joy when the Rewarder comes Yet she never saw the ocean………..she only sighted yet another flowing stream within her gaze Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you Matt 28:19-20
“OUR MINISTRY WAS SMALL BUT MY HEART WAS BIG. I
COULDN’T JUST IMAGINE THAT CHRIST DIED FOR THE
WHOLE WORLD, YET SO MANY ARE UNREACHED”
………………… Evang. (Mrs.) Lillian Bademosi
